Buongiorno,
you know here in Florida is Summer or Spring, never Winter!
but I love the stew even if I consider it a winter dish.
today I prepared it with my slow cooker, but you can do it also using a regular pan.
it is an ancient recipe that born to reduce the timing to cook the beef, and for this reason they decide to cut in little pieces the beef.
The name in italian is "Spezzatino" that means broken.
in this recipe I used the veil but you can use also the beef.

Ingredients
Veal
Potatoes
Celery
Onion
Carrots
Wine
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt
Herbs - Sage and Rosemary
Steps
peel and cut Carrots, Onion and Celery
place in a pan with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and fry for 3 minutes
mean time peel and cut the Potatoes
when the vegetables are ready, add the veal cut in little pieces, the potatoes and the herbs
Spread the wine and a pinch of Salt
Cook, covered with a lid, for 20 minutes.
